Vice President, Construction
J.J. has been planning, negotiating, and managing multi-million dollar commercial construction projects in roles as general contractor, construction manager, developer and/or owner’s representative since 1998. He is responsible for overseeing project, field and administrative staff, subcontractors and vendors, and design consultants. J.J. manages pre-construction processes to include budgeting/estimating/pricing, due-diligence, constructability reviews, permit acquisition, scope analysis, value engineering, purchasing and contract negotiations.
J.J. is responsible for all aspects of project controls including CPM scheduling, document control, subcontractor coordination, issue resolution, change management, quality assurance and safety/compliance reviews as well as project cost controls to include project accounting, budget reporting, cash-flow analysis and funding. He is deeply involved in marketing and business development, strategic planning, pricing strategies, bid and proposal preparation.
J.J. graduated from Virginia Tech with a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering and earned a Master of Business Administration from George Mason University.
