Peter Ekelund
Assistant Vice President, Construction

Peter has over 25 years of construction and estimating experience and has managed over 2,000 construction projects for commercial office users, retail tenants, and the General Service Administration.   The technical complexity of these projects has included specialty lighting and finishes, custom millwork, raised floor computer room facilities, supplemental air conditioning systems, electrical distribution centers (UPS), and emergency generators. In addition to the array of projects Peter has managed, he has also managed the construction of over three million square feet of retail and commercial office space.

Peter manages all elements of the construction process including estimating, purchasing, subcontractor evaluation, punch list completion, and invoicing. He assists with the initial design by ensuring that it is compatible with the building’s existing mechanical systems and provides alternate suggestions in an effort to streamline the construction cost and schedule. His experience includes all aspects of tenant alterations and new construction whether these services involve minor remodeling or total renovation.

Peter graduated from St. Mary’s College of Maryland with a Bachelors of Arts in Social Sciences with a Business Minor.
